Comments: Woman's short, right side-fastening jacket of red silk is collarless, with side vents and five gilt metal ball and loop fasteners, and is lined with blue silk damask. Elaborate embroidery in multicolored silk and gold-wrapped thread depicts dragons, phoenixes, lions, bats, flowers, and other auspicious symbols on the jacket front, back, and upper sleeves. A temple or gate structure is substituted for the mountain typical on dragon robes. The jacket openings are finished with a narrow woven tape, a wider embroidered tape in blue and white, and bound in black silk satin.
