Comments: Approximately square piece of off-white plain weave silk displays both silk and metal embroidery and metallic woven edging, and is lined with red plain-weave silk. At the center of the piece is the metal embroidered insignia, IHS(with a Roman Cross emanating from the cross bar of the H). Beneath the insignia is a cluster of 3 arrow-like flowers also executed in gold embroidery. Encompassing the insignia and flowers is a metal-embroidered radiating sun. Floral vining runs the outer edges of the piece in in an unbroken square with blue and metallic bows tying the stems of the bouquets at each corner. The vine itself is executed in metal embroidery while the flowers and most of the leaves have been accomplished in red, blue, purple, pinks and greens.
