Comments: Large and dense black felted wool and rayon blend man's coat, appliqued by machine sewing with light brown felt motifs over red felt backgrounds. The cut is long and boxy, with wide straight sleeves, a center back vent, and a large square collar panel at back neckline. Small, light brown roundels and large ogee shaped motifs filled with circles or leaves are the dominant motis, appliqued on top of the forearms, back of collar along two elongated wedge-shaped bands sown each open edge, inder arms at sides, with additional bands of light brown felt finishing off cuffs and added above hem. Additional decorative light brown machine embroidery is added among motifs. Coat is lined in black cotton and closes with a decorative black leather strap and gold metal buckle at chest.
