Comments: Oversize beaded pincushion featuring three-dimensional laid beadwork on purple velveteeen applied to paper; beads are mostly clear but include green, yellow, blue, red, and grey colors; grey pony beads are used to denote details such as stems and flower centers; pincushion is edged with cotton muslin and loops of clear beads and backed in glazed cotton; pincushion is stuffed with red colored sawdust. Center motif is a bird on a flowering branch with a similar branch overhead and is bordered by leaf-like shapes positioned to create a scalloped edge.
