Comments: Produced in the Philippines for a United States market. Aimee Glassel gives Manila as the city of production, but this cannot be verified. Andrea Gyarmati Hoffman agrees that Manila is the likely city of production since it was an easy place to find cheap labor during this general time period. She notes that a good deal of children's apparel, for example, was sent there specifically for cheap hand-hemming or other finishing work. -K. Lombard, 11/6/01
