Comments: A two dimensional figure of a girl (natural tan linen) with a goose (white) under one arm. The entire piece is done in bobbin lace technique. The upper torso, head, arms, and feet of the girl and the entire goose are done in whole stitch. The facial features are formed by blank spaces in the lace. The fingers and eye balls of the girl and bill of the goose are done in leaf stitch. The skirt consists of stripes of whole stitch with open work areas between. This open work consists of pairs of twisted threads that traverse in zig-zag direction between the edges of teh whole stitch stripes. The hair of the girl consists of openwork mesh.
