Comments: A coverlet produced as a plain weave with jacquard pattern. The piece is produced with white/natural warps, with yellow, red, and blue wefts in alternating stripes of approx. 5". A design is produced via jacquard in white on top of the colored weft stripes. A border surrounds the entire piece, with the border on the short sides differeng from those of the long sides. The short side borders are made up of repeating bird motifs. The birds appear in pairs, mirrored around a floral center piece. Each short border has 3 complete pairs, with a half pair at each end. The long edges are bordered with alternating buildings, one large and one small. At each corner, where the borders intersect, a square panel is left white and includes the inscription "Daniel Bury. Corners Burgh Ohio.1849". The ouece has weft and warp fringe.
