Comments: European or American man's embroidered silk waistcoat; cream-colored silk front panels embroidered with pastel-colored silk; floral motifs; edges trimmed with applied blue silk-wrapped marquise-shaped paper pieces; lined with silk faille. Eleven embroidered fabric covered buttons; one missing; ten button holes finished with buttonhole stitches. Back panel from cotton or linen plain weave fabric; martindales (waist ties) from twill woven fabric; jiggers (laces) missing.
